BIO - CAREER & PERSONAL
I currently reside in Pueblo, Colorado where I have my art studio Highlights Interiors, and my husband Clyde Tullis has Mudlark Pottery Studio. Studio work includes wheel thrown and hand built pottery, oil painting and creative sewing. I am employed as the Southern Colorado Senior Design Consultant for Home Depot Interiors. I get to drive all over Colorado to design residential kitchens. Leisure activities are enjoy chess games with Clyde, music concerts, comedian specials, movies, cooking, reading, bike riding, enjoying our elderly pet Labradoodle Joe, and precious visits with my youngest grandson.

I lived in my native Colorado until I married and moved to Oakland County, Michigan from 1976-1996 where I owned Garden Level Studios, specializing in book illustration, specialty catalogs, oil portraits & murals. I was married to Don Clark, of Birmingham, Michigan, who passed away in 1996. After his death I moved with my two sons, back to Colorado, and opened my studio in Denver, with concentration in clay, oil painting, and commissioned murals and portraits.

In 2000, I married Clyde Tullis, a professional potter, owner of Mudlark Pottery Studio & Art Gallery in Salida, CO and moved to Salida, in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. An interesting article about Clyde is below. I named my new studio Highlights Interiors and contracted remodel and interior design projects, commercial and private murals, and mural and canvas commissions. I also opened my art instruction academy, "The Creative Edge" and tutored adults and children in drawing and painting, with weekly sessions at Salida Montessori, and Breckenridge Day School. While in Salida I served on the Chaffee County Visitors Bureau as Vice President; and Salida Community Center as President.

We established Creative Resources & Venues in 2009 and for the next 12 years produced 52 annual Art & Music events in Denver, Colorado Springs, Parker, Longmont, and Salida; including two for KRCC Radio, of CC College, Colorado Springs (Blues Under The Bridge). 'CRV Festivals' was permanently closed in 2019 during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

In 2010, we moved our studios from Salida to Denver. After closing The Creative Edge, I was employed as a bathroom designer and sales representative; and later, as Project Manager for a Cherry Creek, Denver interior design firm, specializing in  kitchen design. In 2018 we moved to Colorado Springs and I continued interior design consultation and project management with my company, Highlights Interiors, LLC, and represented flooring and lighting companies. In 2024 we opened our studios in Pueblo, Colorado where we currently reside.
